Danielle
Hi, my name is Dani and I’m a proud Aboriginal woman with my mob stretching across Queensland and New South Wales. My mum’s mob is Mardigan, and my dad’s mob is Barkindji, and both sides of my family have had a strong influence on who I am. My mum, Donna, and my sister, Jessica, are the only family I have here, and we share our home with a bunch of feather babies. My dad’s always out near Miles, driving the big rigs, but even though he’s always on the road, he’s still a big part of my life.
I’ve always had a passion for looking after children, listening to their voices, and helping shape their journeys as they grow. This connection to my mob and family values is something I carry with me every day.
I’ve been part of the Bay Explorers family since 2016, and it’s been an absolute ripper of a journey from the start. I began as a school-based student, worked hard to get my Certificate III, and now I’m proud to hold my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Over the years, I’ve worked with children of all ages, and no two days are ever the same (which is a good thing because who wants boring?). Whether it’s glitter explosions or finger-painting chaos, I’ve loved every second!
As a Lead Educator, I’m all about creating a safe, fun, and nurturing space where every child can feel like they can take on the world. I believe every child is unique, creative, and has their own voice; sometimes quiet, sometimes loud, and sometimes really loud and I love helping them grow and shine in their own special way.
I’m lucky to work with an amazing team who inspire me every day, and I can’t wait to build strong connections with the families and children in our community. Let’s create unforgettable memories full of learning, laughter, and, of course, plenty of glitter!
