The playground is full of laughter and fun. My daughter literally runs to her class every single day. She is learning so much from her teachers and friends and we are so grateful for the effort they put into her early learning. I highly recommend this centre for anyone considering childcare."

Know Before You Go, FAQs

How does Bay Explorers support my child's learning and development?

At Bay Explorers, learning is a joy-filled journey—one that's thoughtfully guided by our passionate Educators and shaped by each child's unique interests, strengths and pace. We draw on trusted frameworks like the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guide, but it’s our personalised approach that truly sets us apart. Through play, exploration and meaningful relationships, we nurture confident, curious learners who feel seen, supported, and ready to thrive—today and into the future.

What does it mean to be an 'Exceeding' Service?

Being rated as an Exceeding Service means we go above and beyond the National Quality Standard in the care and education we provide. It's a recognition of our passionate team, thoughtful practices, and commitment to creating a nurturing, inspiring environment where children truly thrive. It’s not just a rating—it’s a reflection of the heart and quality behind everything we do.

What do I need to bring each day?

Please pack seasonally appropriate clothing, spare clothes, a sun-safe hat, a water bottle, a blanket, and any necessary feeding items. And remember the golden rule of avoiding searching through lost and found: a little label goes a long way!

My child has just started to bite their sibling at home and I'm worried about them biting other children when in care, what will happen if they do?

Many families worry about this. Biting can be a normal part of child development. We'll work with you to co-develop strategies to support your child and ensure everyone feels supported.

My 4-year-old doesn't sleep during the day. How will this be supported whilst in care if there are other children who need to sleep?

As children grow, naptime becomes rest time. Children can rest or engage in quiet activities under the supervision of Educators.

My child has been unwell over the weekend and was vomiting last night.  Can they still attend care today?

We know how eager children are to return to their friends and routines, but to help keep everyone healthy, we ask that children stay home for at least 24 hours after their last episode of vomiting or diarrhoea. This helps prevent the spread of illness and ensures your little one is truly ready for a happy, comfortable day at care. See our links to Staying Healthy in Childcare for more information.
