We are excited to welcome you to our beautiful new service just off Main Street in Urraween! This is the first brand new Early Childhood Education and Care service, built in Hervey Bay in over a decade. Our Bay Explorers' Kindergarten meets the highest standards of Prep readiness and enjoys close relationships with all of the local schools in our region.
Using our knowledge of the children and families of Hervey Bay, we have designed a state of the art facility. Our new service captures the prevailing breeze, protect our children from the heat of summer and minimise our energy footprint with the latest in sustainable technologies including a massive array of solar panels.
Our rooms are spacious and airy, and full of natural light. We’ve created a home-like ambience that is welcoming and calming, to ensure the children are able to focus on learning through play. With quiet zones for cuddling and resting, art exploration areas and the highest quality resources available, our classrooms are calibrated to meet the comfort and educational needs of all children.
If you’ve had the opportunity to drive past the new service you’ll already have seen the 11 mature trees we’ve planted within our huge playscape. These Australian natives have been especially chosen to attract birds, provide heaps of shade and form the cornerstone of our natural environment. Fantastic sandpits, twisty paths for little adventurers, shade sails and extensive landscaping round out one of the largest Early Childhood Education and Care playscapes on the Fraser Coast. And that’s before we even get to our veggie patches and water play areas ensuring children of all ages and abilities are excited and challenged, in a safe thoroughly supervised environment.
The children love our signature, custom-built fort, and it's very popular with our older children, especially as they are able to wave to their parents from the top level. Our climbing wall introduces physical challenge in a safe manner, giving the children more opportunites to test and grow their skills.
Our children enjoy nutritious, freshly cooked meals from our onsite chefs in our fabulous onsite kitchen, and we supply all nappies and sunscreen, making Bay Explorers Urraween not just the first choice in quality, but also a terrific choice economically.
